According to the literature review, child diarrheal illnesses results in to 1.76 to 1.8 million deaths annually(1, 2)تقرير دراسة أعده هوشينو وآخرون، ذكر أنه يمكن أن يكون السبب في ارتفاع معدل الاعتلال في الفئات العمرية الأصغر سنا (3)وفقا للتقرير الإحصائي الصادر عن منظمة الصحة العالمية عن برنامج مكافحة أمراض الإسهال لعام 2014، تعتبر الإصابة بفيروس الروتا السبب الرئيسي للإسهال بين ثلاثة أشهر حتى ثلاث سنوات من الفئة العمرية على الصعيد العالمي (4–7)ويقدر أن نحو 000 527 طفل يموتون في السنوات الأولى من حياتهم بسبب هذه الإصابة التي يمكن الوقاية منها باللقاحات (4, 8)- يمكن بسهولة الحصول على العدوى عن طريق طريق الفم الجنيني، أو قطرات عن طريق الجو، مباشرة عن طريق الأشخاص أو التعرض للألعاب الملوثة.

A study report by Nishio etal (2000); Karachi, had shown an estimated prevalence of 13.7% in age group of less than 2 years (13, 15)The Gleizes et al, in 2006, showed the seasonal variation especially the winter season has a strong association with this infection The main pathogenesis includes the secretion of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5- HT) by enterochromaffin (EC) cells resulting in vomiting and diarrhea (17, 18)وشملت خيارات التشخيص المختبري الكشف عن مضادات فيروسات الروتا بواسطة اختبار ELISA.

(19)Sızmaz E narrated in his study that Necrotizing enterocolitis is another serious complication amongst infantile age group having Rota viral infection (20).

In view of all the literature review it was found that this preventable infection had no specific predisposition and can only be prevented by vaccinating the child along with other scheduled EPI ones (21–23)- وأظهرت بيانات منشورة لعام 2015 أن إدراج لقاح الفيروسات الدوارة في البلدان الأفريقية، كجزء من التحصين، قد انخفض بشكل ملحوظ معدل الإصابة بالتهاب بالغاز الفيروسي الدوار ومعدلات العلاج في المستشفيات (24)وعلاوة على ذلك، يمكن للاعتراف المبكر بالحالات، لا سيما من خلال الكشف عن الأجسام المضادة للفيروسات الروتية من جانب جيش التحرير الليبيري، إلى جانب إضافة بدائل لها، أن يساعد على الحد من مدة الإصابة وكثافة الإصابة بها. (25).

• The inclusion of Rota viral vaccine in EPI schedule can be helpful to reduce the preva-lence, illness and mortality of disease in specific age group.

• Moreover according to the literature review addition of probiotics in the management can reduce the duration of illness.
