- Statements for the declarations
How it works
The sentences are the ones of the journal's declaration templates and are always English.
Name each author and relationship precisely, for example "A.B. has received fees from X for lectures".
These tools support writing; they do not replace the Instructions for Authors or the advice of your co-authors and institution.
Questions
Does this replace the ICMJE form?
No. Every author also completes the official ICMJE Disclosure of Interest form. This tool only writes the sentences for the manuscript.
What counts as a conflict of interest?
Any financial or non-financial relationship or activity that readers could see as influencing the work. When in doubt, declare it.
